Welcome to Bimini, a seven-mile long and half-mile wide jewel of the islands of the Bahamas. You are now amongst a list of countless visitors who we have had the privilege of welcoming to this island, which is known as a fisherman’s paradise, a land of foklore and legend, a haven for renowned orators, writers and leaders.

It was on Bimini that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. retreated to compose famous speeches. Here, on Bimini, the legendary tales of the Fountain of Youth, the Healing Hole, and the Lost City of Atlantis thrive. In addition, Bimini is known as the favoured hideaway of novelist Ernest Hemingway, who lost a notable boxing match here that inspired the composition of the folk song, “Never Get a Lickin’ ‘Til You Go Down to Bimini.”

As you travel the streets of Bimini, you will be absorbed in our history, culture, and natural beauty. Most importantly, you will encounter the unsurpassed warmth and hospitality of our residents whose greatest desire is to meet and share our way of life with you.

At the end of your stay, we hope you will consider yourself an enduring friend of the Bahamas, and we look forward to seeing you on our lovely island again and again.
