Regatta Park. Christmas
is a time for celebrating
the birth
of Jesus around the world.
Exuma is no different.
Natives as well
as visitors gather in Regatta
Park to sing carols and
see performances by some
of the local talents.
The grand finale is when
Regatta Park is transformed
with thousands

Boxing Day, Junkanoo Parade
George
Town, 3:00 a.m. The climax of
the Bahamian
Christmas is
the Junkanoo Parade.
This parade is a tradition that
has been
passed down through
generations
for many years. Music
is made from cowbells, goatskin
drums
and a number of other
instruments,
while the colorful
costumes are designed from cardboard
and crepe
